Ms. Borum is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of University of Massachusetts and she holds an MBA in Finance, a Master’s in Accounting and a dual bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management. Irene is the founding member and President of Abacus CPA, LLC. Abacus is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with satellite offices in Boston, MA and Detroit, MI. Irene has worked in the public and private industries in the field of Accounting and Finance for over twenty-five years.

Her experience includes holding positions as Chief Financial Officer, National Audit and Financial Reporting Manager, Senior Manager of financial reporting and analysis. Irene has sat on various boards and is committed to financial literacy, concentrating on youth and young adults. Irene has a son who is a chef in Boston, MA.
