Courtney Ward

Courtney Ward, Jr. is a development professional with years of experience in nonprofit management roles with a demonstrated history of raising millions of dollars for organizations to drive social impact. As Managing Director of Ward Group Consulting (WGC), Courtney is responsible for driving strategic partnerships and working with external partners to accelerate growth for Ward Group Consulting and its clients. Most recently, Courtney served as the National Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations for OneGoal, a nationally recognized college access and persistence organization that has grown from a small after-school program serving 32 students in Chicago to a nationwide movement that serves some 13,000 students in six regions. In this role, he designed and executed a multi-year vision for their national development team and managed approximately key accounts with external constituents, national partners and stakeholders including the Kresge Foundation, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, AT&T and Wells Fargo resulting in corporate and foundation giving to OneGoal of over $3.2 million annually.

Prior to working with OneGoal, Courtney worked in the role of Senior Director, Chapter Development & Community Engagement for the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., a national mentoring and membership organization focused on enhancing educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans, particularly youth. Courtney is actively engaged in the community and serves on several volunteer organizations’ boards of directors.
