Celebrate Community Through Literature: Join the Conversation!

This past Saturday, we were thrilled to host our 4th Annual One Book, One Read author talk, where literature lovers gathered to celebrate the power of storytelling. This year, we had the immense privilege of welcoming the talented and award-winning author Charmaine Wilkerson, who shared insights from her captivating book, "Good Dirt." Community members picked up their copies of "Good Dirt" and immersed themselves in its rich narrative. The event came alive with an engaging and thought-provoking conversation, skillfully moderated by the esteemed journalist Donna Lowry. Together, they explored the themes of the book and delved into Charmaine’s creative process, leaving everyone inspired and enlightened. A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us in this celebration of literature and community! Your enthusiasm made this day unforgettable.

The Lovett School was thrilled to welcome back the @atlantachinesedance for an unforgettable cultural experience! Our second graders were captivated as performers beautifully narrated a dynasty story through mesmerizing dance and intricate props. The best part? Our students had the unique opportunity to learn and practice the prop movements themselves, fostering creativity and appreciation for the arts. This collaboration not only enhances our students' learning but also strengthens community ties through the beauty of cultural expression.
